I like the creative use of Wordpress I just can’t help but wonder if some kind of wiki format wouln’t be much more suitable for this. You want something were people contribute in order to keep the site dynamic, so I would go with something of a more collaborative nature. If you want some tips on setting up and running for instance http://www.mediawiki.org I’d be happy to help out.
